Derek “Jig” Albert

Derek (Jig) Albert has a long history with Real Estate in North Western Australia commencing his love for property and development with completion of his Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship on the globally renowned Cable Beach Club. Following on from this he spent several years as a Real Estate Sales advisor and now re-joins the industry as a Buyers Agent.

He has a range of commercial experience that assist with his understanding of the economic drivers within the area and has worked on a number of commercial boards in the region including the Kimberley Port Authority and is currently assisting with the development of a range of commercial enterprises for Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation. This commercial experience is backed by several post graduate qualifications that ensures he is able to provide sound background on the economic activities in the area.

Jig has been a strong member of the local community with involvement in the development of several local clubs and currently sits as Chairperson of Broome Turf Club. Previously he has been involved with the Broome Fishing Club and is a Life Member having held several committee positions, including President where he expanded the membership base and implemented a commercial model that has provided a great deal of success for the club moving forward.

This commitment to the region, and the passion he has shown in giving back to the community demonstrates his loyalty and trustworthiness.
